This article briefly reviews the current literature and implementation of a typically non-first-line methodology to diagnose acute stroke: inhalational-mediated Xenon CT perfusion (Xe-CT). The intent of this article is to provide a short overview of this techniques; the reader is directed to the references for additional information.
